I was looking into our family history and where we actually were in Holland, and found some cool old maps showing Gelderland, Utrecht, and “Zuir Holland”, or South Holland, where most of our family lived from the late 16th century up to now.

I also found the crest of the province, Gelderland, that our town where our family was first traced, Nederhemert, is located in.

Genealogy is so sweet to look at, everybody comes from somewhere and has a story to tell.
