Winter is here. Snow seems to have somehow permanently found its way onto our campus. I loathe it but can do nothing, so sulking does no good. Instead, I put on boots and layer sweaters. Last Saturday morning, Meghan, Andrea and I woke up to not just snow, but perfect snow. The snow that falls at that rare degree set where it packs perfectly. We donned clothing and proceeded to make snow women and a seal. Meghan and I even donned our snow creations in bras to make sure that people thought they were women. Sadly, they had melted by about 2:00 and we found ourselves gathering the clothing they had worn and shuffling back inside.
So happy that I found your blog on Freshly Pressed! I love your photos and the Awesomeness of Velvet is an awesome post. Cheers, Erica
Oh, I remember those cold cold days and having to walk to classes. Many a mornings I considered how important that class was…
Gorgeous photos…I only wish the snow were HERE! (I’m in Reno, where 30 homes have burned and winds are reaching 80 mph — bizarre day…)
Thanks for the escape!
🙂
I also dress up my snowmen/women, great job!
Thank you for sharing your photos – they make me cold just looking at them!! . . . Especially since I’ve been living in desert climes for some time!

At least their make-up didn’t all run into the rose garden.

I never thought about it. Snowmen. That’s how it’s always been. Why not snowwomen? Or, is it spelled snowomen? Very nice pics, btw.
Those are some seriously cool snow-ladies!
Great post! Thank you for sharing!
I will follow your blog!
It’s fun to remember snow…in other people’s photos.
Nice shots. I’ve long had a romantic vision of Bozeman, which your photos confirm (and no, I don’t mean the snowladies). I guess it’s the b/w that does it. Thanks!
Never thought I would say I miss winter but something about this post has me wanting to feel the crisp air on my cheeks even for a wee bit. Living here in Indonesia must have polluted my brain cells….
Yup winter is on its way!
Who doesn’t love a snowoman? Good work, ladies.
Winter can be very beautiful if you look for it’s beauty. Even when the thermometer hits -30C or -40C…..there is something magical in it’s power!
I love the snow women they are so super cute!

It’s really sad that there’s no winter here in our country. I hope one day I’d be able to travel to a place where there is snow. I want to know what it’s like! Lol.
I love the winter, and especially the snow, and you captured the beautiful essence of both in your pictures. However, there is a downside… You got me feeling extremely homesick for Colorado. Thanks for the post!
the snow people are fantastic!
Congratulations on being freshly pressed… Great post too. 😉
amazing pictures.. i love them.. 😀
Sadly, I don’t have any memories of it 😮 seems like a nice area, not sure where…?
Snow that is lol
Great Shots!! 🙂
I’m so glad i stumbled upon your blog on freshly pressed. I love your photos and your snowmen and snow women are cute. We had our first real bit’s of snow here in northern Vermont the night before last and it’s really started to feel more like winter. Have a great weekend. 🙂
Nice Snowfamily! I start looking forward to the winter and hopefully white christmas!
First timer from Ohio here … Oh crap … the snow season is really coming.
Great post. Love the pic of the snow angels…
And you know ‘the difference between snow men and snow women” joke, right?
Just came across your blog through Freshly Pressed and am glad I did! (Congrats, ps!) The snow is just around the corner and, though it is beautiful, I am not looking forward to the chill that will claim residence in my bones for the next few months.
The cutest snowwomen I’ve ever seen!
This REALLY gives me chills! Great work, though.
I love.Now winter looks great!
Wow I love snow, but it hasn’t arrived in Denmark yet 😦
Anyways I look forward to the ski holidays in jaunary/february 😀
I like snow and ice a lot more in photos than I do in real life.
Great post and congratz on FP!
We call that packy snow. Not to be confused with sledding snow, hard snow, wet snow or good smelling snow.
We live in upstate NY.
This is a great blog, I love your photographies with the snow!!! Good Work !!!
These pictures are beautiful!
winter is on its way! 😦
What I wouldn’t do for snow right about now! ;( we don’t have any yet, and the weather sites and forecasts and so forth.. Is saying no snow at all here, maybe not even for Christmas !
I do love the snow :)) we get it here in Missouri all the time!
Great photos! I love the snow women! The winter made its presence felt here in Minnesota today too….here we go again – another cold, snowy few months ahead of us! Stay warm!
woooow…. I like the snow doll…
I love this!
Cool
waooooowwwww…….
Wow, it’s early winter already and awesome pictures by the way.
The first snow is always, always pure magic.
I’m glad to know I am not the only one to loathe the snow. It’s cold, 18f, that wicked colorless stuff is on the ground. However, I have heat for the house, a jacket to keep warm outside, the Spring to look forward to, and the Chicago Cubs World Championship for 2012. All is good:-)
breathtaking
you did good job!
Nice Photos… reminded my days in NY… my kid always n’joyed playing in snow… me too.. 😉
Lovely snow. You lucky things. Here in the UK it’s only 5 degrees so no snow is a go-go.
Nice photos! Here in Jerusalem, we mostly see rain. But on some years, we get two inches of snow, and it’s enough for people to make snow people, men and women. I lived in Canada for 15 long, long winters, so I hate winter under any form. But it’s nice to see snow from the other end of the screen. So thank you for sharing these wonderful photos! 🙂
I have never ever ever seen snow in real life. Hoping to visit the Northern Hemisphere for a white Christmas someday soon.
yay! i luv snow!
N-i-c-e!! You two look HAPPY! I am sure that making the snow angels on your back was a lot of fun! Gut laughs!!!
HATE snow, but I love it as well. Can’t be helped, I’m a sunshine Susie.
havent seen snow in years! thanks for the pics …
Such a wonderful post, LOVED the pics. I love snow… that last one of the car just looks fantastically eerie. 🙂
Nice photo … I have never seen snow, because my country is a tropical country .. but I’m sure one day be able to touch the snow
nice pictures! 🙂 though i hate snow because of frostbite! haha!
Very stylish snow ladies and snow seal! I love the snow, but hate the ice – I live in Scotland and we don’t seem to cope very well with either!
Your picture of the snowmen is hilarious! I want it to snow here now 🙂
Christmas is coming near ❤
this is a real treat!
good photos 😀
Hardly get tht experience at this part of the world. Sigh!
A different take on snow courtesy of a Dippylomat in Sweden!
