This weekend I am showing a marvelous human being one of my favorite movies of all time and I’m so stoked. Having people watch my favorite films is almost as great as watching the film itself. Unless they hate it, of course.

But how could a cinephile hate Hal Ashby’s 1971 classic with Jaguars, suicide,graveyards, Vietnam, dark humor, and some twisted plot turns? Let’s not forget a “computer dating system” and some good old fashioned 70’s tailoring.

I hope he likes it.
