Digital due to 35mm difficulties.

Pulled out the heavy 50mm f/1.4 lens and got to hang out with birds Thursday morning. Much needed quiet, listening to the water and seeing all the blooms and quietly regaining energy.

Something I'm very curious about as a student of history is how we see the present. My parent's generation were kids when Watergate went down but were well aware and active during the Iran hostage crisis and the dissolution of the USSR, among other events, and I am so curious how people older than me feel about our current govt and all that is happening. I feel an enormous amount of grief, anger, frustration, and fear about our current times, more than I ever have. Feel free to comment with your thoughts, I love to hear what people are thinking and feeling about our now and our then.

My dad lives far away and this is how I feel about that on Father's Day. My dad gave me a sincere love of nature, my nose, a penchant for being stubborn, and all of the love. He took me hunting, fishing, encouraged me to be firm in my convictions, and always made sure to tell me there was nothing I couldn't do. I couldn't ask for a better father. 🖤

Flora flora everywhere! So many photos of our trip to Yellowstone and Virginia City to edit.

We found moose and deer beds all around the cabin, with lots of comfy foliage for sleeping. 🌿

Philipsburg, MT, late May. I came to this bar four or five years ago on a hot summer night with @artgeeky and it was marvelous.

Twenty dollars a night gets you a stay in this little hundred year old cabin. Headed to Virginia City and Yellowstone for a couple days to stay in a cabin that's not quite as low tech!
